Hidden away inside Hydroshack gardening store in the Heights is one of the most experienced racket stringers in Texas. 

With over 40 years of tennis stringing experience, Chris Powers provides a level of racket care unheard of in the tennis community. For one flat fee of $15 each racket gets an inspection, a thorough cleaning, and a new grip. Only after all these tasks are completed do we begin your professional restring.

Bringing your own strings is perfectly fine or you can let us help you choose the correct string and tension for your game. See the section below for our current string inventory and prices.

We have a brand new Dunlop 2.0 electronic stringer that features some high end options such as pretension capability from 5% to 20%, six point mounting system, precise tension in 0.5 lb. increments, and a diablo pull mechanism that is ever so gentle on your strings.

Powerstringer is also a Dunlop dealer and stocks over 100 brand new Dunlop rackets ranging in price from $159 to $229. Regular customers get to demo any Dunlop racket we have in stock at no charge. We also have Dunlop ATP balls for $4 per can and a large variety of tennis string.
